Counselor’s Corner
At Jimmy Carter Early College High School, we provide comprehensive, student-centered services that support the academic, social, emotional, and career development of all students. This mission is guided by the overarching goal of helping students reach their full potential and succeed academically and personally.

You’re considered college-ready in two ways:
- If you score 945–990 on the multiple-choice CRC Test and a 5 or higher on the Essay Test, or
- If you score below 945 on the multiple-choice CRC Test, receive a diagnostic level of 5 or higher on the Diagnostic Test, and score of 5 or higher on the Essay Test.

You’re considered college-ready in two ways:
- If you score 950–990 on the CRC Test or
- If you score below 950 on the CRC Test but receive a diagnostic level of 6 on the Diagnostic Test.
What we are ethically called to do is create a safe space in our schools and classrooms where all students can walk in and, for that day or hour, take off the crushing weight of their armor, hang it on a rack, and open their heart to truly be seen.
