The Jimmy Carter FBLA members recently participated in the National Leadership Conference (NLC) held in Atlanta, Georgia. They also had the opportunity to explore some of the city's renowned attractions, such as the World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium, and enjoy a memorable outing at an Atlanta Braves baseball game. Throughout the past week, these talented students showcased their skills and abilities in various events during the NLC.
Carolina Amador, a rising senior, excelled in the Future Business Leader competition.
Daisy Escobedo, also a rising senior, demonstrated her proficiency in Sales Presentation.
Daniela Flores, another rising senior, competed in Job Interview.
Noemi Garcia, a rising senior as well, competed in Accounting II.
Dilyla Rodriguez, a rising senior, showcased her expertise in Help Desk.
Additionally, two rising juniors, Jaymee Gomez and Lizania Rodriguez, impressed the judges with their talents in Digital Video Production.
Together, these Jimmy Carter FBLA members represented their school admirably and made a strong impact at the NLC. Their dedication and commitment to their respective competitions were commendable, reflecting the hard work and preparation they put into their endeavors.

TAFE Gold and Red National Qualifiers attended the Educators Rising National Conference in Orlando, FL this past weekend. They participated in the following events: Adamaris Ochoa and Jared Mora placed Top 10 with their Service Project. Itzel Tovar competed in Children’s Literature K-3. Mariana Castillo competed in Creative Lecture. Evanny Treviño placed Top 10 in Public Speaking. Nayeli Villarreal placed Top 10 in Exploring Education Administration Careers. Congratulations to them all. We are extremely proud! Jimmy Carter TAFE Red and Gold members along with Mrs. Brenda Trevino and Mr. Noel Martinez traveled to Orlando, Florida to compete at the Educators Rising National Conference. Seniors Jared Mora and Adamaria Ochoa presented their service project, in which they led a group in creating over 200 beanies for babies for the NICU at DHR.
Evanny Trevino (9) and Nayeli Gonzalez (9) presented their Professional Development which helped educators learn about the signs to look for in their classrooms that might signal mental health concerns.
Evanny Trevino (9) also competed in Public Speaking on the topic of the National Teacher Shortage and Mariana Castillo (11) spoke on the topic of how teachers can build connections with students after COVID in her Creative Lecture.
Last but not least, Itzel Tovar (11) and Jessica Virrey (11) competed in the Children's Literature category with their touching story about dealing with anxiety.
These students were 7 of a contingent of 616 who attended from the state of Texas.
Congratulations to these students and thank you to their teachers for all their hard work. We look forward to their results on Sunday! 🤩 #CarterPride #GoRedWolves
