February 24, 2025 – La Joya, TX – Jimmy Carter Early College High School proudly welcomed new members into its prestigious National BETA Club during an induction ceremony held today. The event celebrated academic excellence, leadership, and service—core values of the organization.
Students gathered in the library to witness the momentous occasion. The ceremony began with a warm welcome from BETA Club sponsor, Yesenia Torres, who emphasized the importance of scholarship, character, and community service.
“We are thrilled to induct such outstanding students into our BETA Club,” said Mrs. Torres. “Their commitment to academic excellence and service to others truly embodies the mission of this organization.”
The inductees recited the BETA pledge, signifying their dedication to upholding the club’s principles. Each new member received a certificate and pin, symbolizing their official entry into the organization. School administrators, including Principal Bocanegra expressed their pride in the students' achievements and encouraged them to continue making a positive impact.
The National BETA Club, founded in 1934, is one of the largest independent, nonprofit, educational youth organizations in the country. With its motto, “Let Us Lead by Serving Others,” BETA Club continues to shape the next generation of leaders.
