On Friday, October 25th, students gathered for an impactful presentation as part of Red Ribbon Week, organized by our counselor, Mrs. A. Villarreal. The event featured State Trooper Monrreal, who engaged the students in a vital discussion about the dangers of drug use and the importance of making healthy choices.
Trooper Monrreal shared personal stories and statistics, highlighting the severe consequences of drug use on individuals and communities. His message resonated with the students, encouraging them to think critically about their choices and the influence of peer pressure.
In addition to discussing the dangers, Trooper Monrreal emphasized positive alternatives, such as pursuing hobbies, sports, and community involvement. He inspired students to envision a future free from substance abuse, where they can thrive and achieve their goals.
Mrs. Villarreal expressed her gratitude to Trooper Monrreal for his participation, noting the importance of such educational initiatives in fostering a supportive and informed school environment. The presentation was a reminder that making healthy choices is not only crucial for individual well-being but also for the community as a whole.
