Jimmy Carter Early College High School

Ninth-grade students from Jimmy Carter Early College High School attended the “Transition to High School” panel discussion hosted by the school’s Freshman Success Team. During the event, students were able to connect the information presented with their own experiences as freshmen. Arnoldo Gonzalez, Freshman Success Coach and event moderator, stated, “Our goal is to ease the transition from middle school to high school, helping students begin their journey toward a successful high school experience.” Ninth-grade core and elective teachers who served as panelists shared their personal experiences as high school freshmen and offered advice on overcoming adversity.
